Description:

It is an erect small perennial herb. Stem angled 2to3feet high, the lateral branches numerous and spreading. Leaves radicals, divided pinnately, lobes toothed, pointing backwords, cauline leaves entire. Flowering head or capitulum in solitary terminally or axillary clustered.capitulum surrounded by two or three series of involucral bracts. Capitula consist of only blue legulate florets. Fruits are small pale achene

 

Habitat:

In Gilgit /Baltistan it is found in Nager, Nalter, Haramosh, Astor, Hunza, Ghizer etc

 

Medicinal uses:

Plant is considered tonic, elexiteric,and and emmenagogue.

Locally it is used for fever and typhoid.
