Description:

Aconitum napellus is a perennial graceful herbs with Blue-purple hooded flowers

 

Habitat:

Among 2,133 to 3,657 meters elevation. In Gilgit/Baltistan, Astore, Doian, Nalter, Deosai, Babusar, Ratu Cantt, Kalapani, Kamri top. Growing on wet marshy soil on the sides of streams and mixed with “Aconitum hetrophyllum," but in larger quantities.

 

Medicinal uses:

Inflammations, influenza, fever, injuries, measles, sore throat, toothache, arthritis. Locally, dried root is useful anodyne in facial neuralgia. It is also used as diaphoretic and diuretic.
