Inflorescence
Erect, cottony and glabrous herb. Leaves alternate. Flowering head small, corymbose, heterogamous with female flowers outermost or unisexual, disciform. Female flowers numerous, filiform, fertile toothed. Bisexual, flowers sterile, tubular, limb subcampanulate . Achenes very small oblong.
In Gilgit /Baltistan it is found commonly in alpine and upper zones, up to 5000 meters.
M edicinal uses are not known but the herb is aromatic and used in homes for their beautiful smell.
