Description:

A stout perennial with a short rootstalk. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic or oblanceolate, entire, denticulate to finely crenulate, farinose or efarinose; farina white rarely yellow distributed uniformly on he under surface, apex acute to obtuse, midrib impress on the upper surface. Petiole sheathed scap (leaf less stem) up to 32 cm long. Flower fairly stout bracts long, exceeding calyx length flowers hatromorfhic purple, pink purple, violet or Lilac and pedicillate.

 

Habitat:

This herb is found in Astore (burzil, Minimarg, Dumail) Baltistan (deosi plans) Nalter bar valley and hoper glacier up to 13000 ft

 

Medicinal uses:

It is use for optithalmic disease.
