Women and ICTs: Exclusion or empowerment?

The availability of information and communication technologies (ICTs) has risen rapidly in Pakistan during the past years. The number of computers has increased ten-fold between 2003 and 2007. Teledensity, i.e. telephone lines per 100 inhabitants, be it fixed PTCL, wireless loop lines or mobile phones, has risen from 12 to 61 percent between 2005 and 2009. Global Inventory Project: A report from polluted site at Salhad (Abbottabad)

Blacksmith Instituted (BSI), USA; and, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) and entered into a partnership to cooperate in chemically polluted sites in Pakistan as a part of "The Global Inventory Project (GIP)."
