The World Conservation Union - (IUCN)
IUCN - The World Conservation Union was founded in 1948 and brings together 78 states, 112 government agencies, 735 NGOs, 35 affiliates, and some 10,000 scientists and experts from 181 countries in a unique worldwide partnership.

Its mission is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.

   
Sustainable Development International (SDI)
SDI aims to educate the readership by providing a showcase for strategies and technologies for local-global Agenda 21 implementation. SDI asks what progress has been made towards a sustainable environment, economy and society.
   
Population and Environment Communication Center (PECC)
Acknowledging the compelling need and the significant interrelatedness between population and the environment issues, SDPI has established a Population and Environment Communication Center (PECC) with the support of a grant received by The David and Lucile Packard Foundation. PECC program was officially launched on August 1st, 2001.
   
South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics
The South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) is a new network that seeks to use economic tools and analyses to address some of South Asia's environmental challenges.
   
Social Science Research Council
The Social Science Research Council is an independent, nongovernmental, not-for-profit international organization that seeks to advance social science throughout the world and supports research, education and scholarly exchange on every continent.
   

South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE)

SAWTEE, based at Kathmandu, is a network of 11 South Asian organisation. Established in 1994, its major objective is to build capacity of the stakeholders in the context of liberalisation and globalisation. It is actively working on capacity building, policy research, information dissemination and advocacy on trade policy issues - particularly those related to the WTO.
