Introduction
Welcome to SDPI's Centre for Capacity Building’s home page. The goal of the CCB is to provide high quality training to the public, private, NGO sector organizations and individuals to strengthen institutions and build their capacity for sustainable development. The unit conducts both generic and specialized training courses.

Our research program acts as a catalyst for our training program, and thus training flows from research. Since July 1998 we have conducted 125 training workshops and trained 2,314 persons including 583 women.

These strengths will be built upon in the coming years to expand and consolidate this valuable source of management and environmental training. The training courses will also strengthen associational networks and subsequent collaboration among the public, private and NGO sectors in addition to National Conservation Strategy implementing agencies.

Our competitive advantage
The CCB makes full use of technology and latest equipment to impart training in a comfortable and congenial environment. SDPI has a modern computer laboratory with state-of-the-art computing equipment in LAN environment with Internet connection. The training room is equipped with modern training aids including overhead, slide and multimedia projectors. The facility of audio and video playback is also available. Trainees can make full use of SDPI's resource center for accessing information on issues related to the environment and sustainable development.
